sponsibility for books and raffle, and Cynthia are both new to BWG committee work, so we welcome them and hope they enjoy the experience.
We already have a number of events underway, the first being Saturdays' Welcome Back BBQ If you haven't already got tickets do come and join in the fun. The Embassy Residence garden is a beautiful setting for this evening party. We are expecting good food, good music and our official photographer will be on hand to record the event - so don't forget to smile! We just need the rain to keep away! (See inside for further details). Tuesday 5th September is the first of our two social tennis days, once again held at the Seoul club. If you enjoy playing tennis, whether a beginner or a league player, come along, it's a great day with the emphasis on the
social bit! (More details inside).
Three dates to put in your diaries - firstly the 6th Oct, when we shall be holding a musical quiz night. Secondly, 10th October, another tennis day and finally, the 24th October - this will be our monthly meeting event (the date has been brought forward one week so as not to clash with Halloween celebrations). This year we have decided not to hold a Bazaar, so we are hoping to make the 24th a fundraising event. With the help of Sung Joo Kim we will be producing an 'East meets West at M&S' Fashion Show! So beware! We will be on the look out for models of all shapes and sizes!
Don't forget that our Bridge and Mah-jong groups meet each week at the Seoul Club and newcomers are always very welcome. If you like walking, why not give Maggie Bullock a call, as once a week she takes a group out and about the hillsides of Seoul.
With lots to do and look forward to, I hope you have a fun month and an enjoyable Chosuk, I look forward to seeing you at our events. Have to go now as I have over stayed my computer time!!!!!
